Client: A leading international Fortune 100 food and beverage company
Situation: The client was frustrated with the wide variance across its facilities in implementing best practices for manufacturing and environmental management. The client was aware of costs savings across their production plants and wanted an understanding.
Aim: The client wanted to effectively combine its efforts to reduce costs, lead environmentally as a corporate citizen.
Solution: EVI created an index of key performance indicators and compared emissions performance across plants, processes and product categories. EVI also conducted a Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) of selected products. This highlighted priority areas for emissions reduction and improved environmental performance.
Benefits: The key environmental performance indicators enabled the client to significantly improve the uniformity of best practice implementation across all of their facilities. These helped the company achieve a 15% reduction in water use, improve the efficiency of various processes and reduce carbon emissions. Brand positioning was also significantly enhanced. |
