Client: A leading international FMCG brand, renowned as a global leader in sustainable development

The client was interested in purchasing equity stake in a large Asian infrastructure group that is developing some large-scale hydro and coal power projects. EVI provided expert due diligence on environmental issues and climate change risk to accurately assess project risk and valuation.

EVI was asked to identify possible mechanisms for sourcing and generating green power for the client’s operations, and develop implementation plans for ultimate delivery of this power to the client’s plant.

EVI was brought in as an expert on renewable energy, power transmission and GHG management. We carried out a study that included exhaustive assessment of available renewable energy technologies, related financial and implementation aspects, supplier identification, funding analysis and feasibility for pure power procurement and plant setup. The study also included identifying the supply and transmission requirements for delivering the power to the consumer. The solution allowed client to reduce their overall emissions by 50%, thereby allowing the client to achieve internal emission reduction target.
