Forestry project implemented by local communities in UP, Rajasthan and MP

This community-based project financed by the Indian Farm Forestry Development Corporation (IFFDC) entails planting of various tree species across 15,000 hectares of wasteland in three Indian states. Local residents are planned to execute the project and generate income. They will develop business ventures through micro-credit and livelihood cooperatives. The project is currently under verification for CDM. Alongside, CCX certification has been applied for.  

Reforestation of degraded land in Chhattisgarh, India

This reforestation project by Prakash Industries aims to reclaim 282 hectares of wasteland in Chattisgarh, thereby resulting in carbon storage and alleviating pressure on existing atural forests. In addition, the project benefits the local community benefits availability of steady supply of fuel wood. The project is currently under validation for CDM. It is also under process to receiving a CCBA certification.
